Our Take

An excellent introductory book to mushrooms in the NE featuring  illustrations and carefully written notes on about 150 mushroom. The book is a nice complement to a standard ID book.  It is definitely more fun to read.  While edibility is not discussed, poisonous and toxic mushrooms are covered carefully as well as frequent notes on fabric dyeing, history and habitat. I don't use it as a primary reference, but do enjoy cross referencing to see what Mr Millman has to say.
